If you have a bad day its important not to dwell on it. If I have a bad session and haven’t been able to hit my times or have failed to finish I usually give myself a bit of time to mope about it, but then focus on the week as a whole, and take positives from the week rather than focus on the one negative.

The same applies before a race, don’t over analyse how you are feeling everyday leading up to the race, instead think about how much training you have done, the good sessions you have hit, and how prepared you are.
